This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server built with Python, designed to enable large language models (LLMs) of AI to conduct trading through the MetaTrader platform.

This server allows AI LLMs to trade via the MetaTrader platform. Follow the steps below to get started.

• Enables AI LLMs to trade through MetaTrader.
• Supports integration with Claude Desktop and Open WebUI.

📦 Installation

Make sure you have Python 3.10+ and MetaTrader 5 Terminal installed. Then install the package:

pip install metatrader-mcp-server

Next, you need to enable algorithmic trading in the MetaTrader 5 Terminal. Open Tools > Options and check Allow algorithmic trading.

Claude Desktop Integration

To use this package for trading operations via the Claude Desktop application, add it to your Claude Desktop configuration:

Other LLMs with Open WebUI

You can interact with other LLMs (such as OpenAI's GPT) using this MCP server through an HTTP server and Open WebUI.

First, ensure the package is installed. Then run the server:

metatrader-http-server --login <YOUR_MT5_LOGIN> --password <YOUR_MT5_PASSWORD> --server <YOUR_MT5_SERVER> --host 0.0.0.0 --port 8000

This will start an HTTP server locally, listening on port 8000, and automatically start MetaTrader.

In Open WebUI, go to Tools > Tool Management and add the following configuration:
