🚀 MCP Server Demo - Client Database

This is an example server demonstrating how to integrate MCP with SQLite for client management.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have Python installed on your system.

Steps

1. Create and activate a virtual environment:

# Create a virtual environment
python3 -m venv .venv

# Activate the virtual environment
# On Windows:
.venv\Scripts\activate
# On macOS/Linux:
source .venv/bin/activate

2. Install dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt # Install in the virtual environment

python3.12 -m pip install -r requirements.txt --break-system-packages  # Install on the physical machine

3. Generate sample data:

python generate_sample_data.py

4. Start the MCP server:

mcp dev server.py # Use mcp inspector
mcp install server.py --name "ClientesMCP" # Install to Claude Desktop

python mcp_server.py # Use via SSE protocol

To deactivate the virtual environment after you're done:

deactivate

The server provides the following features:

1. contar_clientes(): Returns the total number of registered clients.
2. buscar_cliente_por_nome(nome): Searches for clients by name (supports partial matching).
3. buscar_clientes_por_bairro(bairro): Searches for all clients in a specific neighborhood.
