🚀 Cryptocurrency Market MCP Server

A server implementing the Model Context Protocol (MCP), providing tools to access cryptocurrency market data via CoinGecko.

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Installation

Run the following command to install the required dependencies:

npm install

Create a .env File

Create a .env file in the project root directory and add your CoinGecko API key:

Build the Project

Run the following command to build the project:

npm run build

Start the Server

Run the following command to start the server:

npm start

💻 Usage Examples

Get Cryptocurrency Market Chart Data

This tool is used to obtain historical market chart data for a specific cryptocurrency, including price, market capitalization, and trading volume.

Parameters (all validated using Zod):

• coinId (optional): The ID of the cryptocurrency for which to obtain data (e.g., 'bitcoin', 'ethereum'). Defaults to 'bitcoin'.
• vsCurrency (optional): The currency unit in which to display the price (e.g., 'usd', 'eur', 'jpy'). Defaults to 'usd'.
• days (optional): The number of days of data to obtain (e.g., '1', '14', '30', '90', 'max'). Defaults to '30'.
• interval (optional): The time interval of the data. Leave it blank to automatically select based on the time range.
