A MCP server that provides enriched data from the Codex blockchain. This server can be used with any MCP-compatible client, such as Claude Desktop.

📦 Installation

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/codex-data/codex-mcp.git
cd codex-mcp

# Install dependencies
pnpm install

# Build the project
pnpm build

💻 Usage Examples

To use the MCP Codex server, you need to have a Codex API key. You can obtain your key from the Codex Dashboard.

Basic Usage

You can run the MCP Codex server directly using npx without installation:

# Run the server in stdio mode (suitable for CLI tools)
npx @codex-data/codex-mcp

Advanced Usage

Run the server locally

Start the server in stdio mode (suitable for embedding in CLI tools):

pnpm start

For development and automatic reloading:

pnpm dev

Integrate with Claude Desktop

1. Open the Claude Desktop settings.
2. Go to the developer tab and click "Edit Configuration".
3. Add a new server configuration:

Without installation:

4. Replace /path/to/codex-mcp with your actual installation path.
5. Replace <your-codex-api-key> with your actual Codex API key.

Connect using Claude CLI

If you are using the Claude CLI:

claude mcp add codex-data -e CODEX_API_KEY=<your-codex-api-key> npx @codex-data/codex-mcp

# Start Claude and enable the MCP server
claude
