A Model Context Protocol (MCP) service for connecting to Feishu Docs, enabling direct access to Feishu Docs spaces and document lists in AI clients such as Cursor.

What is MCP

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a protocol that seamlessly connects custom services with various LLM clients (such as Claude and Cursor). It allows AI to directly call and use our service functions.

• MCP Client: AI applications (such as Claude Desktop or Cursor), responsible for initiating requests and communicating with the server.
• MCP Server: This project, which exposes Feishu Docs functions and interacts with clients through a standardized protocol.

📦 Installation and Running

Install from Source Code

# Clone the project
git clone https://github.com/yourusername/jiang-feishu-mcp.git
cd jiang-feishu-mcp

# Install dependencies
pnpm install

# Start the service
pnpm start

The server will start on the local port 7777.

Configuration

Before using, you need to create a .env file to configure Feishu app credentials:

# Copy the example configuration file
cp .env.example .env

Then edit the .env file and fill in your Feishu app credentials:

FEISHU_APP_ID=your_app_id_here
FEISHU_APP_SECRET=your_app_secret_here

# Optional: Set the port number (default is 7777)
PORT=7777

# Optional: Set the document save path (default is ./docs)
DOCS_SAVE_PATH=./docs

Steps to obtain Feishu app credentials:

1. Visit Feishu Open Platform and log in.
2. Create an in-house enterprise application.
3. Obtain the App ID and App Secret on the application details page.
4. Ensure that cloud document-related permissions (document, spreadsheet, and cloud space read permissions) are enabled.

💻 Usage in Cursor

1. Start the server: pnpm start.
2. Open the Cursor settings page.
3. Find the "Model Context Protocol" settings.
4. Add a new MCP Server and fill in the URL: http://localhost:7777/mcp.
5. Save the settings.

Now, you can use the following tools in Cursor:

• list-spaces: List all document spaces.
• list-documents: List all documents or documents in a specified space.

Basic Usage

In Cursor, you can use the MCP tools like this:

Please list all my Feishu document spaces.

Advanced Usage

Please list all documents in the space with ID "XYZ123".
