📦 Installation

To install the CVEX MCP Server, run the following command:

npm install -g @modelcontextprotocol/server-cvex

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

To use the server with Claude Desktop, run the following command:

claude --mcp "npx @modelcontextprotocol/server-cvex --api-key YOUR_API_KEY --private-key-path /path/to/private_key.pem"

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your actual CVEX API key and /path/to/private_key.pem with the path to your private key file.

Advanced Usage

The MCP server provides the following tools for Claude:

1. getMarketData: Get market data for a specific contract.
2. getContractDetails: Get detailed information about a specific contract.
3. getAccountInformation: Get account information, including balance.
4. estimateOrder: Estimate an order (without executing the trade).
5. placeOrder: Place a new order on the exchange.

After connecting, you can ask Claude to perform the following actions:

What are the available contracts on CVEX?
Show the current market data for BTCUSD.
What is my account balance?
Estimate the cost of buying 0.1 BTC at the market price.
Place a limit order to buy 0.01 ETH at $4000.

🔧 Technical Details

Development

1. Clone the repository.
2. Install dependencies: npm install.
3. Build the project: npm run build.
4. Run the server: node dist/cli.js [options].

Security Considerations

• Private keys are only read when signing trading requests.
• Private keys are not retained in memory for an extended period.
• All API requests use a secure HTTPS connection.
• Always verify order details before confirming a trade.
• Never share your terminal session when using the CVEX MCP Server.
