📦 Prerequisites

• Node.js 20.x or higher (LTS version recommended).
• npm 10.x or higher.
• Qdrant or Chroma vector database.

📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/hadv/wisdomforge
cd wisdomforge

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Create a .env file in the root directory based on the .env.example template:

cp .env.example .env

4. Configure environment variables in the .env file:

Required Environment Variables

Database Configuration

• DATABASE_TYPE: Choose the vector database (qdrant or chroma).
• COLLECTION_NAME: Name of the vector collection.
• QDRANT_URL: Qdrant instance URL (required when using Qdrant).
• QDRANT_API_KEY: Qdrant API key (required when using Qdrant).
• CHROMA_URL: Chroma instance URL (required when using Chroma).

Server Configuration

• HTTP_SERVER: Set to true to enable HTTP server mode.
• PORT: Port number for local development (default: 3000). Only used for Smithery cloud deployment.

Example .env configuration (for Qdrant):

5. Build the project:

npm run build

⚠️ Important Note

Make sure Node.js is installed and npx is available in the PATH. If you use nvm, run nvm use --lts to ensure you are using the correct Node.js version.
