This project provides a weather MCP server, enabling Claude to utilize relevant weather tools through MCP.

🧪 Testing with Claude for Desktop as the Client

⚙️ Configuration

Open and edit the file: ~/Library/Application\ Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json with the following content:

🔄 Restart Claude for Desktop

If there are no errors during the restart and the hammer icon shows two "Available MCP Tools", it means the operation is successful. Otherwise, check the logs for troubleshooting.

📜 Claude for Desktop Logs

• Log folder: ~/Library/Logs/Claude
• Logs from the specific MCP Server: mcp-server-weather.log
• General MCP connection logs: mcp.log

🔧 Technical Details

📖 Working Principle

1. The client sends your question to Claude.
2. Claude analyzes the available tools and decides which one to use.
3. The client executes the selected tool through the MCP server.
4. The results are sent back to Claude.
5. Claude formulates a natural - language response.
6. The answer is presented to you!
