The Brave Search MCP Server integrates the Brave Search API, providing both web search and local search capabilities. It allows users to perform various types of searches with flexible filtering and intelligent fallback mechanisms.

🛠️ Tools

brave_web_search

• Perform web searches with pagination and filtering.
• Input:
  • query (string): Search term.
  • count (number, optional): Number of results per page (maximum 20).
  • offset (number, optional): Pagination offset (maximum 9).

brave_local_search

• Search for local businesses and services.
• Input:
  • query (string): Local search term.
  • count (number, optional): Number of results (maximum 20).
• Automatically fallback to web search when there are no local results.

⚙️ Configuration

Obtain an API Key

1. Sign up at Brave Search API Account.
2. Select a plan (the free tier offers 2,000 queries per month).
3. Generate your API key from the developer dashboard here.
