📦 Installation

System Dependencies

First, ensure that the ODBC driver is installed:

• macOS: Install using Homebrew: brew install microsoft/mssql-release/msodbcsql17
• Windows: Download and install from the Microsoft ODBC Driver page.
• Linux: Follow Microsoft's instructions for your distribution.

Python Dependencies

Use uv to install the required Python packages.

Database Setup

For development or testing purposes only:

1. Create a .env file in the project directory containing SQL Server connection information:

Dependencies

This MCP server requires the following dependencies:

• Python 3.12 or higher.
• MCP SDK.
• pyodbc 4.0.39 or higher (for SQL Server connection).
• python-dotenv 1.0.0 or higher (for environment variable management).
• ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server or higher (must be installed on the system).

Netwrix Access Analyzer (NAA) Dependencies

This MCP server requires that the Netwrix Access Analyzer (NAA) file system scan is completed.

Integration with Claude Desktop

To make this MCP server available in Claude Desktop:

1. Open Claude Desktop.
2. Specify the location of the uv command in the configuration file:
   • Windows: Navigate to %appdata%\Claude\config.json.
   • macOS/Linux: Navigate to ~/.config/Claude/config.json.
3. Add the following to config.json:
