MCP Server Defillama

🚀 DefiLlama's MCP Server

This repository contains a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides Claude access to DeFi data. The server enables Claude to perform operations such as retrieving protocol TVL data, chain TVL data, token prices, and stablecoin information through the DefiLlama API.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v16 or higher)

Running the Server

Option 1: Using npx (Recommended)

npx @mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-defillama You can directly use npx to run the MCP server without installation. This will download and execute the server directly from npm.

Option 2: Manual Installation

Clone this repository: git clone https://github.com/mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-defillama.git Install dependencies: npm install Build the project: npm run build

Configuring Claude for Use

To configure Claude Desktop to use this MCP server:

Open Claude Desktop and navigate to Settings > Developer Settings > MCP Server. There, you'll see a button to open the configuration JSON file.

Add the MCP server configuration:

The MCP server provides the following tools for Claude:

Protocol Data

• defillama_get_protocols: Lists all protocols monitored by DefiLlama.
• defillama_get_protocol_tvl: Retrieves the TVL data for a specific protocol.

Chain Data

• defillama_get_chain_tvl: Retrieves the TVL data for a specific chain.

Token Data

• defillama_get_token_prices: Retrieves the current prices of tokens.
• defillama_get_historical_prices: Retrieves the historical prices of tokens.

Stablecoin Data

• defillama_get_stablecoins: Lists all stablecoins monitored by DefiLlama.
• defillama_get_stablecoin_data: Retrieves the data for a specific stablecoin.
