This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides exchange rate data from the Norges Bank API. It's just a small project and not intended for serious use.

To start using the server, you can run the following command:

If you want to develop this project, you need to install dependencies first:

pnpm install

Build

To build the project, use the following command:

pnpm build

Run

After building, you can start the server with:

pnpm start

Usage Instructions

The server exposes a single tool:

exchange_rate

Get the exchange rate between two currencies.

Parameters:

• baseCurrency (string, required): The base currency code (e.g., NOK, USD).
• targetCurrency (string, required): The target currency code (e.g., EUR, USD).
• date (string, optional): The date in the format YYYY - MM - DD. Defaults to the latest available exchange rate.
