Current Tools

• web_scrape: Prefix the URL with r.jina.ai and return the content in Markdown format.

📦 Installation

1. Clone this repository:

   git clone <repository-url>
   cd MCP
   

2. Install the required dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

   Alternatively, you can use uv for faster installation:

   uv pip install -r requirements.txt
   

💻 Usage Examples

Running the Server and UI

Using the Run Script

On macOS/Linux:

# Run the server with the default stdio transport
./run.sh server

# Run the server with the SSE transport
./run.sh server --transport sse --host localhost --port 5000

# Run the Streamlit interface
./run.sh ui

On Windows:

# Run the server with the default stdio transport
run.bat server

# Run the server with the SSE transport
run.bat server --transport sse --host localhost --port 5000

# Run the Streamlit interface
run.bat ui

Manual Run

Alternatively, you can run the server directly:

Using stdio (default)

python server.py

Using SSE

python server.py --transport sse --host localhost --port 5000

This will start an HTTP server running on localhost:5000, accepting MCP connections.

To manually run the Streamlit interface:

streamlit run streamlit_app.py

Testing with the MCP Monitor

The MCP Monitor is a tool for testing and debugging the MCP server. You can use it to interact with your server:

1. Install the MCP Monitor:

   npm install -g @modelcontextprotocol/inspector
   

2. Run the monitor:

   inspector
   

3. Open http://localhost:9000 in your browser, then paste the server's URL (e.g., http://localhost:5000) and press Enter.

Integrating with Claude

1. Open Claude's configuration file:

   %APPDATA%/Claude/Settings/settings.json
   

2. Add the following to additionalEndpoints:

   "MCP Web Tools Server": {
     "url": "http://localhost:5000"
   }
   

3. Save the file and restart Claude.

Adding More Tools

1. Open tools.json
2. Add a new tool definition, for example:

   {
     "name": "new_tool",
     "description": "Describe the function of the new tool",
     "parameters": [
       {
         "name": "param1",
         "type": "string",
         "description": "Description of parameter 1"
       }
     ]
   }
   

3. Save the file and reload the server.

Running the Streamlit Interface

To run the Streamlit interface:

streamlit run streamlit_app.py

This will launch a web browser and open the interface. You can view all configured MCP servers and their tools on the interface and perform tests.

Troubleshooting

• Missing dependencies: Ensure that all dependencies in requirements.txt are installed.
• Connection issues: Check if the server is running and if the path in the Claude configuration file is correct.
• Tool execution errors: Check the error messages in the server output.
• Streamlit interface issues: Ensure that Streamlit is installed correctly and the configuration file path is correct.
