📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/Annihilater/mcp-server-get-weather

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Build the project:

npm run build

Basic Usage

Start the server:

npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector node dist/index.js

Configuration in MCP

To use this weather service in Cursor, add the following configuration to the ~/.cursor/mcp.json file:

Replace <your-project-path> with the actual project path. After configuration, you can call the mcp_mcp_server_get_weather_get_weather function through the MCP tool to get weather information.

Development Information

Available Scripts

• npm run build - Build the project and generate an executable entry.
• npm run watch - Monitor file changes and automatically rebuild.
• npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector node dist/index.js - Start the server.

Project Structure

• src/index.ts - The entry file that sets up the MCP server and uses stdio transport.
• src/server.ts - The server implementation file that defines the weather tool.
