A server based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and an OpenAI function calling service for interacting with the Deriv API.

Local Installation

Docker Installation

1. Build the Docker image:

docker build -t deriv-api-mcp .

🔧 Environment Configuration

Create a .env file in the project root directory:

DERIV_API_TOKEN=your_api_key_here

💻 Usage with Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop offers full support for MCP functionality. To use this server:

1. Install Claude Desktop
2. Add the following to your Claude Desktop configuration:
   • For macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
   • For VSCode: /Users/raju/Library/Application Support/Code/User/globalStorage/saoudrizwan.claude-dev/settings/cline_mcp_settings.json
   • For Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

3. Restart Claude Desktop

This server provides the following tools:

• get_active_symbols: Retrieve a list of active trading symbols.
• get_account_balance: Get the current account balance.
