🚀 IaC Memory MCP Server

An enhanced Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Claude AI, focusing on providing persistent memory storage for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components, with emphasis on version tracking and resource relationship mapping, supporting Terraform and Ansible resources.

⚠️ Important Note

This is a personal project aimed at testing the capabilities of AI in the absence of subject - matter expertise, especially Python knowledge. Due to high costs, I have no intention of further developing or maintaining this project.

Resource Management

The server implements a sophisticated resource management system with a hierarchical URI structure:

Resource URI Structure

resources://<platform>/<category>/<name>

Supported platforms:

• terraform
• ansible
• iac (for generic infrastructure entities)

📦 Installation

MCP Terminal

A CLI tool for interacting with the MCP server.

pip install mcp-terminal
mcp-terminal iac-memory-mcp-server

MCP Monitor

Used for monitoring and debugging the MCP server.

Access address: http://localhost:9001

📚 Documentation

Environment Variables

Set the following environment variables to configure the MCP server:

• DATABASE_URL: Database connection string (default is SQLite)
• DEFAULT_KEY_SIZE: Default key size
• DEFAULT_IV_SIZE: Default initialization vector size
• DISABLE_ENCRYPTION: Whether to disable encryption
• ENCRYPTION_SECRET: Encryption key
