🚀 Investor 10 - MCP Server

This project is part of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) ecosystem and provides tools for interacting with external APIs and domain-specific models. It aims to demonstrate how to build an MCP server with external API integration and data validation capabilities.

The integration enables MCP tools to query stock market data, such as stock prices and indicators, through the Investidor10 API. Click here

• get-acoes: Retrieve basic stock information.
• Use Zod for input validation.
• Integrate the Investidor10 API via fetch (infrastructure layer).

🏗️ Architecture

This project adopts a layered architecture inspired by the Domain-Driven Design (DDD) pattern:

• Domain (src/domain): Define interfaces and types representing data structures (e.g., Investidor10).

• Infrastructure (src/infrastructure): Implement external services, such as Investidor10ApiService, responsible for making HTTP requests to the Investidor10 API.

• Application (src/application): Contain the Investidor10Service with business logic, processing and formatting data from the infrastructure.

• Interface (src/interface): Include controllers (e.g., Investidor10ToolsController), responsible for registering tools in the MCP server, defining validation schemes, and returning results.

• Entry Point (src/main.ts): Initialize the McpServer, configure the transport (StdioServerTransport), instantiate services and controllers, and start listening on stdio.

📦 Installation

git clone git@github.com:newerton/mcp-investidor10.git
cd mcp-investidor10
npm install
npm run build

💻 MCP Server Configuration in VSCode

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+P and select "MCP: List Servers".
2. Select "mcpinvestidor10".

💻 MCP Server Output in VSCode

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+P and select "MCP: Start Server".
2. Run the command get-acoes in the terminal.
