A simple MCP server built with FastAPI that processes numerical inputs, calculates by doubling, and supports session management and API key authentication.

📦 Installation

1. Install the required dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

2. Start the server:

uvicorn main:app --reload

The server will run at http://localhost:8000.

🔌 API Endpoints

POST /mcp/process

Process a list of numerical inputs and double each value.

Request Body:

For modern Excel using Office Scripts, you can use JavaScript/TypeScript and the fetch API to make HTTP requests to the MCP server.

⚠️ Important Note

• The server includes CORS middleware to allow cross - origin requests from web - based Excel clients.
• Session state is stored in memory and will be lost if the server restarts.
• In a production environment, consider using a database to store sessions and appropriate authentication.
