🚀 Base Network - MCP Server

This is an MCP server designed for the Base network. It enables LLMs to perform blockchain operations on the Base network through natural language commands, including wallet management, balance queries, and transaction execution.

This server supports the Base mainnet and the Base Sepolia testnet.

✨ Features

process_command

Process natural language commands for Base network operations. It accepts the following parameters:

• command: A natural language command (e.g., "Send 0.5 ETH to 0x1234...") Returns a structured response containing the operation results, including transaction details for send operations, balance check information, and wallet creation details.

create_wallet

Create a new wallet on the Base network. It accepts the following parameters:

• name: (Optional) The name of the wallet Returns an object containing the wallet address, name, and other detailed information.

check_balance

Check the balance of a wallet. It accepts the following parameters:

• wallet: (Optional) The name or address of the wallet to check the balance (default is the default wallet) Returns the ETH balance.

list_wallets

List all available wallets. Returns an array containing each wallet object, with each object including the wallet address, name, and other detailed information.

Usage with Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop is a popular LLM client that supports the model context protocol. You can connect the Base MCP server to Claude Desktop and perform blockchain operations through natural language commands.

To add your Base MCP server to Claude Desktop, add the corresponding configuration to the following configuration file:

• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Configuration

• BASE_PROVIDER_URL: The RPC endpoint of the Base mainnet or testnet
• WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY: The private key used for wallet signature transactions

Since this implementation interacts with the actual blockchain network and handles private keys:

1. Private Key Security: Ensure the security of your private key and never commit it to version control.
2. Use the Testnet First: Perform operations on the Sepolia testnet before switching to the mainnet.
3. Transaction Verification: Always verify transaction parameters.
4. Error Handling: Implement a robust error handling mechanism to handle network issues.
5. Rate Limiting: Be aware of the rate limits of API calls.
