🚀 Kakao Mobility and Kakao Maps MCP Server

This repository provides a server that adheres to the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard and interfaces with the Kakao Mobility and Kakao Maps APIs. It aims to offer suitable route planning services for the local environment in South Korea.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Log in to Kakao Developers.
2. Create an application:
   • Navigate to "My Applications" > "New Application", fill in the application information, and save it.
3. Enable the Kakao Maps API:
   • Click "Kakao Maps" in the sidebar and set it to "Enabled".
4. Obtain the REST API key:
   • Click "Application Keys" in the sidebar, then copy and use the "REST API Key".

Basic Usage

This server provides the following MCP tools:

• geocode: Convert an address into coordinate information.
• direction_search_by_names: Plan a route based on the starting and destination addresses.
• direction_search_by_coordinates: Plan a route based on the starting and destination coordinates.
• future_direction_search_by_coordinates: Plan a route for a specific future time point based on the starting and destination coordinates.
• address_search_by_place_name: Find an address by the place name.
