This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides weather forecast data for Switzerland. The data is sourced from LandiWetter. The server supports searching for locations within Switzerland and obtaining detailed weather forecast information.

📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository.
2. Install the dependencies:

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

Start the Server

Run the following command to start the server:

npm start

This command will start an MCP server using stdio transport, making it compatible with MCP clients such as Claude Desktop.

Integrate with Claude Desktop

1. Open Claude Desktop.
2. Go to Settings > MCP > Add Custom Server.
3. Configure the following information:
   • Name: LandiWetter
   • Command: node /path/to/landiwetter-mcp/src/index.js
4. Save and enable the server.

• locationId: The location ID (e.g., G2661552).
• date (optional): The forecast date (yyyy-MM-dd). Defaults to the current date. Example:
