🚀 Quick Start

jgrants-mcp is an MCP server that wraps the public API of jGrants, an electronic subsidy application system operated by the Digital Agency. It allows LLMs to easily access Japanese subsidy information via MCP.

✨ Features

It provides the following three tools:

1. list_subsidies

Retrieve a list of currently available subsidies matching the specified keyword.

Parameters:

• keyword (string, optional): Search keyword (default: "subsidy")

2. get_subsidy_detail

Get detailed information about a subsidy. The base64 data of attached documents is removed, and download URLs are provided.

Parameters:

• subsidy_id (string, required): The ID of the subsidy (specify the id, not the title)

3. download_attachment

Return the download URL for the specified subsidy's attached document.

Parameters:

• subsidy_id (string, required): The ID of the subsidy
• category (string, required): The category of the attached document
  • application_guidelines: Application guidelines
  • outline_of_grant: Grant outline
  • application_form: Application form
• index (integer, required): The index of the attached document (starting from 0)

📦 Installation

Global installation via npm

npm install -g jgrants-mcp

Direct execution with npx

npx jgrants-mcp

Local development

💻 Usage Examples

Configuration in Claude Desktop

Add the following to the Claude Desktop configuration file (~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json):

This tool uses the public API of jGrants (https://api.jgrants-portal.go.jp/exp/v1/public). No API key is required.
