What is the Square MCP Server?
The Square MCP Server is a middleware that follows the Model Context Protocol standard, enabling AI assistants to interact with the Square e-commerce platform API securely and conveniently. It encapsulates the complex API details of Square and provides a standardized access method. How to use the Square MCP Server?
You can run it through local installation or directly use the remotely hosted service provided by Square. Both methods support interacting with Square's payment, order, inventory and other systems through simple commands.Applicable scenarios
Suitable for AI application scenarios that require the integration of Square e-commerce functions, such as: intelligent customer service querying orders, automated inventory management, and member system docking, etc.Main features
Unified API Gateway
Access all Square e-commerce functions through a standardized interface, including more than 40 services such as payment, order, and inventory.
OAuth Integration
Supports direct login via Square account, eliminating the hassle of manually managing access tokens.
Sandbox Environment Support
Provides support for the test environment, which will not affect real business data during development.
Service Discovery
Built-in API exploration tool that can dynamically query available services and parameter requirements.
Advantages
Integrate Square e-commerce functions without in - depth technical knowledge
Support mainstream AI assistant platforms such as Goose and Claude
Provide a choice between production environment and sandbox environment

Limitations
Advanced customization functions still require direct calls to the native API
There may be a short adaptation delay for some new APIs
The free version has API call frequency limitations
How to use
Choose the access method
Decide whether to use local installation or remotely hosted service. Beginners are recommended to start with the remote service.
Get access credentials
