🚀 PostgreSQL Remote Cloudflare MCP Worker

A Cloudflare Worker that enables remote access to a PostgreSQL database using the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

You can deploy the remote MCP Server to Cloudflare Workers with just one click:

Alternatively, you can use the following command line to create the remote MCP Server on your local machine:

npm create cloudflare@latest -- my-mcp-server --template=https://github.com/Stratus-Cyber/postgres-mcp-cloudflare.git

⚠️ Important Note

Currently, the Deploy to Cloudflare button does not support the configuration of environment variables. You must configure the variables manually after deployment.

📦 Installation

Environment Variables

To set up the necessary environment variables:

1. From the Cloudflare console, select your Worker AI.
2. Navigate to Settings > Variables and Secrets > +Add.
3. Set the following:
   • Type: Secret
   • Variable Name: DATABASE_URL
   • Value: postgresql://<connection string>

💻 Usage Examples

Connect to Cloudflare AI Playground

You can connect to your MCP server from the Cloudflare AI Playground, which acts as a remote MCP client:

1. Visit https://playground.ai.cloudflare.com/.
2. Enter the URL of your deployed MCP server (postgres-mcp-cloudflare.<your-account>.workers.dev/sse).
3. You can now use your MCP tools directly from the playground!

Connect Claude Desktop to your MCP server

You can also connect to your remote MCP server from local MCP clients using the mcp-remote proxy.

To connect Claude Desktop to your MCP server, follow Anthropic's Quickstart. Then, within Claude Desktop, go to Settings > Developer > Edit Config. Update the configuration as follows:

Restart Claude, and the tools should become available.

Connect Cursor AI to your MCP server

On Mac OS, go to Cursor > Settings > Cursor Settings > MCP > Add new Global MCP Server > edit the mcp.json file:
