The platform adopts a hierarchical design: administrators publish AI products through the background management system, developers register on the portal website and subscribe to the required services, and finally make secure and reliable calls through the unified AI gateway. Environment Preparation

🚀 HiMarket AI Open Platform

HiMarket is an out-of-the-box AI open platform solution that can be used to build an enterprise-level AI capabilities market and a developer ecosystem center.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

Install Git https://git-scm.com/downloads
Install JDK 8 or a higher version
Install Node.js (v20 or higher is recommended) https://nodejs.org/
Install Maven https://maven.apache.org/download.cgi
Prepare a database The backend service depends on an external database. You need to start a database locally (e.g., MySQL/MariaDB) and configure the database connection parameters according to the application.yaml file in portal-bootstrap.

Clone the project code

Start the backend portal-bootstrap

The backend service depends on an external database. Please refer to portal-bootstrap/src/main/resources/application.yaml to configure the database-related parameters. You can also override these configurations through command-line parameters when starting the service.

Startup method

First, package the project:

mvn clean package

Then, start the service:

java -Ddb.host=xxxx.mysql.rds.aliyuncs.com \

Start the frontend project

1. portal-web/api-portal-admin

cd portal-web/api-portal-admin
npm install
npm run dev

The local access address can be found in the console output, usually http://localhost:5174.

2. portal-web/api-portal-frontend

cd portal-web/api-portal-frontend
npm install
npm run dev

The local access address is the same as above, usually http://${portal_frontend_domain}:5173. During local development, you need to configure domain name resolution for portal_frontend_domain (modify the /etc/hosts file locally). In the design of HiMarket, the portal domain name is used as the basis for resolving the corresponding portal ID.

Register an administrator

Import a Higress instance

Select 【Instance Management】 - 【Gateway Instances】 - 【Import Gateway Instance】 - 【Higress Gateway】 to import a Higress gateway instance. For example, import http://demo.higress.io with both the username and password set to admin. Import Image

Create a Portal

Select 【Portal】 - 【Create Portal】 to create a portal named himarket-demo. Create Portal Image Click on the portal card to enter the portal configuration. You can keep the other configurations as default. In 【Setting】 - 【Domain Management】 - 【Bind Domain】, bind a localhost domain for development and self-testing. You can ignore the other menus for now in the quick start guide. Here is a brief introduction to their functions:

Published API Products. Manage the API products published in the portal.
Developers. Manage the developers in the portal and the consumers associated with the developers.
Settings.
- Configure the basic information of the portal.
- Control whether the registration approval of developers in the portal and the subscription of API products are automatically approved.
- Support third-party login for the portal. It supports standard OIDC configurations, such as Aliyun, Google, and Github.

Create an API Product

Select 【API Products】 - 【Create API Product】 to create an API product named demo-api. Create API Product Image The initial status of the API product is "Pending Configuration". You need to perform operations such as Link API and publish it to the portal.

Associate an API

Associate API Image Associate an MCP service of a gateway. The data source comes from the Higress MCP service management. The API Config will also be automatically synchronized with the configuration in Higress.

Publish to the portal

After the API product is ready, you can choose to publish it to the specified portal. Publish Image At this point, a Higress MCP Server has been successfully published to the portal.

HiMarket Portal

The HiMarket portal is designed with multi-tenancy and uses domain names to identify different portal instances. The portal will be assigned a default domain name, but you need to complete the domain name resolution yourself. For example, if the domain name portal-68ac4564bdb292ee9261ff4a.api.portal.local is automatically assigned, you need to resolve it to the IP address corresponding to api-portal-frontend. Since you have already configured an additional localhost domain for the test portal, you can also directly access the frontend through localhost:5173.

Register a Developer

Register Developer Image Since the automatic approval was not enabled in the portal settings before, you need to wait for the administrator to approve your developer registration in the backend. Create a Consumer

In the design of the AI open platform, a developer represents a general user identity, and users need to hold corresponding credentials to apply for subscribing to API products. The concept of credentials is called a "Consumer" in the AI open platform. There is a one-to-many relationship between developers and consumers. Create Consumer Image After creating a consumer, you can apply for subscribing to an API product. Subscribe Image In the default configuration of the portal, subscription approval is disabled by default, which means that the developer's application will be automatically approved.

Initiate a call

You can initiate a call to the MCP Server by carrying the consumer's credentials and configuring the connection address of the MCP Server in the portal.
