What is MCPJungle?

MCPJungle is a self-hosted MCP gateway server that serves as a unified registration center for all Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers in your organization. Developers can centrally register and manage MCP servers and the tools they provide through it, while AI agents only need to connect to this single MCPJungle gateway to access all registered tools.

How to use MCPJungle?

Using MCPJungle is very simple: First, start the MCPJungle server. Then, register your MCP servers. Finally, configure your AI clients to connect to the MCPJungle gateway. The entire process can be quickly deployed via Docker and supports multiple MCP server types.

Applicable scenarios

MCPJungle is very suitable for scenarios where developers using MCP clients such as Claude and Cursor need to access MCP tools, scenarios where building production-level AI agents requires secure access to MCP servers, and scenarios where an organization needs to centrally manage and monitor all MCP client-server interactions.

Main Features

Centralized MCP Server Registration
Provides a unified centralized registry to manage all MCP servers and their tools.
Multi-Transport Protocol Support
Supports both STDIO and Streamable HTTP MCP transport protocols simultaneously.
Tool Group Management
Allows creating tool groups to expose only selected subsets of tools to specific clients.
Enterprise-Level Access Control
Provides fine-grained access control and security policies in production mode.
Observability Support
Integrates OpenTelemetry and provides Prometheus-compatible monitoring metrics.
Advantages
Simplifies MCP server management by only requiring maintenance of one connection point.
Provides unified security control and access management.
Supports tool-level enable/disable control.
Enterprise-level features include authentication, authorization, and monitoring.
Perfectly integrates with mainstream MCP clients such as Claude and Cursor.
Limitations
Currently does not support long connection state maintenance for MCP servers.
Each tool call creates a new STDIO process, resulting in certain performance overhead.
The OAuth authentication process is still under development.
Currently in the Beta stage, and features are still being continuously improved.

How to Use

Install MCPJungle
Install the MCPJungle client via Homebrew or download it from the Release page.
Start the Server
