🚀 WinAutoWx - Automated Script for Weixin/WeChat, MCP with LLM Support

This project offers an automated script based on Python + pywinauto, which can connect to/launch Weixin/WeChat on Windows, search for friends or group chats, and send messages. It supports sending multiple messages to multiple friends in a loop at once.

• Start the HTTP API Service (FastAPI)

• Start the fastmcp (MCP/stdio) service and connect with MCP Inspector

Environment Requirements

• Windows 10/11 (64-bit recommended)
• Python 3.8–3.12 (64-bit recommended)
• Windows version of Weixin/WeChat installed and logged in

Invocation via API (FastAPI / fastmcp 2.0)

server.py is provided, which can be used as a local service for AI/HTTP calls.

• Start the service:

uvicorn server:app --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8000

• Send message interface: POST http://127.0.0.1:8000/send

Note: The main script is located in script/wechat_sender.py. The command-line usage instructions can be found in Debug.md; the HTTP interface is provided by server.py.

Via fastmcp (MCP/stdio protocol)

mcp_server.py (based on fastmcp 2.0) is provided. It is an MCP server that exposes tools through standard input and output (stdio). Internally, it forwards tool calls to the above HTTP service.

1. Install dependencies and start the HTTP service:

pip install -r requirements.txt
uvicorn server:app --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8000

2. Start the MCP server (stdio):

python mcp_server.py

3. -Connect with MCP Inspector: - (Deprecated)

mcp-inspector --server "python mcp_server.py"

Tool description:

• send_messages(friends, messages, backend='uia'|'win32', ctrl_enter=False, friend_delay=0.5, message_delay=0.2, no_launch=False, verbose=False)
• dump_controls(backend='uia'|'win32', verbose=True)

Available environment variables:

• WEIXIN_API_URL: The address of the forwarded HTTP service (default http://127.0.0.1:8000)

MCP Inspector Configuration

1. First, start the HTTP service (in a new terminal):

uvicorn server:app --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8000

npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector

2. Fill in the following in MCP Inspector:

• Server command:

python mcp_server.py

• Working Directory:

D:\代码存储\winautowx

• Environment variables (optional):
  • WEIXIN_API_URL: http://127.0.0.1:8000
• Arguments: Leave it blank
• Transport: Default stdio (keep it unchanged)
• Click Connect

3. Call tools in Inspector:

💡 Usage Tip

• Keep the main WeChat window on the current desktop and not minimized.
• First, use the "File Transfer Assistant" to verify the process to avoid disturbing others.
• If you are using the new version of Weixin (process Weixin.exe), the script is already adapted.
• Special layouts or enterprise WeChat may have different control structures. If you encounter problems, please turn on --verbose and paste the output to me.
