🚀 Send Emails via MCP 📦

This is a simple MCP server that uses Resend's API to send emails. Why? Now you can have Cursor or Claude Desktop write your emails and send them instantly without having to copy and paste the email content.

The technologies used include:

🚀 Quick Start

Cursor Setup

1. First, you need to authorize Resend to send emails using your domain or email address. Follow the steps here to set it up and obtain your Resend API key.
2. Clone this project locally. Edit the index.ts file and replace me@yoko.dev with your own email address to send emails from that address.
3. Run npm install and npm run build in the project directory. Now you should see the generated /build/index.js file - this is the MCP server script!

Then go to Cursor Settings -> MCP -> Add a new MCP server

• Name: [Custom Name]
• Type: Command
• Command: node absolute_path_to_MCP_server/build/index.js --key=Your_Resend_API_KEY --sender=Optional_Sender_Email_Address --reply-to=Optional_Reply_To_Email_Address1 --reply-to=Optional_Reply_To_Email_Address2

You can obtain your Resend API key here.

Now you can test sending an email by replacing the to: address in email.md, selecting all the content, and pressing cmd+l. Make sure Cursor chat is in "Proxy" mode, which is located in the dropdown menu at the bottom left.

Claude Desktop

Follow the same setup steps, then add the following MCP configuration:
