Get IGDB Credentials

Authentication Errors

• "IGDB_CLIENT_ID not set": Check that your MCP client config includes the environment variables.
• "Invalid credentials": Verify that your Client ID and Secret are correct.
• "Token expired": The server automatically handles token refresh.

Rate Limiting

IGDB allows 4 requests per second. Since the server doesn't implement rate limiting, you should:

• Avoid rapid repeated queries.
• Use field expansion instead of multiple requests.
