🚀 Firebase Realtime Database MCP

This project enables AI assistants to directly interact with Firebase services using the Realtime Database.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• A Firebase project with service account credentials.
• A Node.js environment.

1. Firebase Configuration

1. Navigate to Firebase Console → Project Settings → Service Accounts.
2. Click "Generate new private key".
3. Securely save the JSON file.

2. Environment Variables

Required

• SERVICE_ACCOUNT_KEY_PATH: The path to your Firebase service account key JSON.
• FIREBASE_DATABASE_URL: The URL of your Firebase realtime database.

1. Install the Firebase Realtime Database MCP Project Locally

A. Execute git clone https://github.com/ytzlax/firebase-realtimeDB-mcp.git in the terminal. B. Change the directory to the cloned path and run npm i. C. Run npm run build.

2. Install the MCP Server

Add the server configuration to your MCP settings file:

• For Claude Desktop: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json.
• For Augment: ~/Library/Application Support/Code/User/settings.json.
• For Cursor: [project root]/.cursor/mcp.json.

How to Use with Claude Desktop?

Follow the guide at https://modelcontextprotocol.io/quickstart/user and add the following configuration:
