What is the Pulsyn MCP Server?
The Pulsyn MCP Server is a bridge that connects your Pulsyn smart ring health data with AI assistants (such as Claude). It allows you to query your health data through natural language without manually logging into the app or viewing complex charts. How to use the Pulsyn MCP Server?
Just follow three simple steps: 1) Obtain an API token in the Pulsyn app, 2) Configure it in Claude Desktop, 3) Start querying your health data in natural language. The entire process runs locally to ensure data security.Use cases
Suitable for users who want to understand health trends more conveniently, including: tracking sleep quality, monitoring stress recovery, analyzing activity performance, getting daily health summaries, and integrating health data into AI conversations to get personalized advice.Main Features
Sleep Tracking
Get detailed sleep data, including total duration, distribution of each stage (deep sleep, light sleep, REM, awake), sleep quality score, and efficiency indicators.
HRV Heart Rate Variability Analysis
Monitor heart rate variability (HRV), a key indicator for assessing the body's recovery state and stress level, to help understand the body's adaptability.
Heart Rate Monitoring
Get continuous heart rate data and resting heart rate to understand the heart's health status and daily heart rate change trends.
Activity Data
View daily activity indicators: steps, calories burned, active time, and exercise distance to comprehensively understand your daily activity level.
Readiness Scores
Get a comprehensive readiness score that combines sleep quality, HRV, and recovery status to help determine the appropriate training intensity for the day.
Health Summaries
Get a comprehensive health snapshot for a specific date, including a summary analysis of all key health indicators.
Advantages
Convenient access: Query health data directly in AI conversations without opening the mobile app.
Natural language interaction: Use everyday language instead of professional terms to query complex health indicators.
Data security: All processing is done locally, and the API token is only stored on your device.
Real-time updates: Connect to Pulsyn cloud data to get the latest health information.
Multi-platform support: Compatible with all AI assistants that support the MCP protocol.
Limitations
Requires a Pulsyn smart ring and a valid subscription.
Only supports reading data and cannot modify settings or data through this service.
Relies on a network connection to access the Pulsyn API service.
Free users have API call frequency limits.
Requires basic command-line configuration knowledge.
How to Use
Obtain an API Token
Open the Pulsyn mobile app → Go to settings → Find API access → Create a new token → Select the'read:health_data' permission → Copy the token (starting with psk_).
Configure Environment Variables
Set the copied API token as a system environment variable so that the server can automatically recognize it when starting.
Add to Claude Desktop
Edit the Claude Desktop configuration file and add the Pulsyn MCP server configuration. The configuration file paths for macOS and Windows are different.
Restart and Start Using
Restart the Claude Desktop app, and then you can directly ask about your health data in the conversation.
Usage Examples
Sleep Quality Analysis
Want to understand the sleep trends of the recent week and find out the reasons for the decline in sleep quality.
Training Recovery Assessment
Before arranging high-intensity training, assess whether your body's recovery status is suitable.
Monthly Health Review
Review the overall health status monthly to identify trends of improvement or deterioration.
