๐ Unreal Engine MCP
An MCP tool that enables natural language control of Unreal Engine 5.6+. Designed for large - scale projects with specialized Blueprint workflow support. It allows you to build node graphs, create GameplayAbilities, and automate editor tasks through the MCP client, including RAG - powered Python scripting with Unreal Python API documentation.

โ ๏ธ Important Note
The uv package manager is recommended but will be installed automatically if not present.
1. Clone Repository
git clone https://github.com/gimmeDG/UnrealEngine5-mcp.git
cd UnrealEngine5-mcp
2. Setup Unreal Engine Plugin
- Copy the
Plugins/UnrealEngineMCP folder to your Unreal project's Plugins/ directory.
- Open your project in the Unreal Editor.
- Enable the plugin: Edit โ Plugins โ Search "UnrealEngineMCP" โ Enable.
- Restart the Unreal Editor.
3. Configure MCP Client

4. (Optional) Environment Setup
cp .env.example .env
The default configuration works out of the box. The server will:
- Automatically create a virtual environment.
- Install all dependencies.
- Generate a BM25 index on the first run.
