What is ClaudeArmy?

ClaudeArmy is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that empowers Claude (in the chat interface) to command multiple Claude Code agents. These agents can autonomously execute coding tasks in different project directories while you continue to chat normally and check the progress at any time.

How to use ClaudeArmy?

After installation and configuration, you only need to describe the task in the Claude chat, and Claude will automatically dispatch agents to execute it. You can start work on multiple projects simultaneously, and the agents will run independently in the background. You can view the results after completion.

Applicable scenarios

When you need to handle multiple projects simultaneously, such as refactoring the code of one project and adding new features to another project at the same time; or when tasks can be broken down into multiple independent subtasks, let the agent team work in parallel to improve efficiency.

Main features

Agent dispatch
Deploy Claude Code agents to the specified project directory to execute tasks through the dispatch_task tool.
Agent team collaboration
Supports team mode, where the main agent automatically breaks down tasks and dispatches sub - agents to work in parallel.
Real - time progress monitoring
View the status and recent activities of all running/finished agents through check_tasks.
Detailed output viewing
Use get_task_output to obtain the complete work record and output timeline of the agent.
Team structure viewing
View the tree - like structure of the main agent and all sub - agents through get_agent_team.
Task management
Supports canceling running tasks (cancel_task) and cleaning up completed tasks (purge_tasks).
Advantages
Parallel processing ability: Can handle multiple projects simultaneously, significantly improving work efficiency.
Autonomous execution: Agents work independently in the background without interfering with your normal chat.
Intelligent decomposition: The team mode can automatically break down complex tasks into subtasks for parallel execution.
Transparent progress: View agent activities in real - time to understand the work progress.
Flexible management: You can check, cancel, or clean up tasks at any time.
Limitations
Requires Claude Code: You must install and authenticate Claude Code to use it.
Concurrency limit: By default, a maximum of 5 agents can run simultaneously.
Platform dependence: Different operating systems require different configuration paths.
Learning cost: You need to understand basic configuration and tool usage methods.

How to use

Environment preparation
Ensure that Node.js 18+ and Claude Code are installed and authenticated, as well as Claude Desktop.
Install ClaudeArmy
Clone the repository and install dependencies.
Configure Claude Desktop
Edit the Claude Desktop configuration file according to your operating system and add the ClaudeArmy server configuration.
Restart and start using
Restart Claude Desktop and then start using various tools of ClaudeArmy in the chat.

Usage examples

Single - project refactoring
Refactor the code structure of a single project to make it more modular.
Parallel work on multiple projects
Handle tasks of two different projects simultaneously.
Team collaboration mode
Use the team mode to handle complex tasks. The main agent breaks down tasks and dispatches sub - agents to work in parallel.
Progress check
View the status and progress of all running agents.
