🚀 Inkdrop MCP Server

The Inkdrop MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that supports the Inkdrop Local HTTP Server API.

📦 Installation

1. Set up a local HTTP server
2. Add server configuration in Claude Desktop:
   • For MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
   • For Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Tool Commands

1. read-note: Retrieve the full content of a note from the database by its ID.

   • Required parameters:
     • noteId: The ID of the note to retrieve. It can be found in the note document, formatted as _id and always starting with note:.

2. search-notes: List all notes containing the specified keyword.

   • Required parameters:
     • keyword: The keyword to search for.
   • Notes: The results will include truncated note content (up to 200 characters). Use read-note to get the full content.
   • Supports advanced search qualifiers such as book:, tag:, status:, title:, etc.

3. list-notes: List all notes in the specified notebook.

   • Required parameters:
     • bookId: The ID of the notebook. It always starts with book:.
   • Optional parameters:
     • tagIds: An array of tag IDs for filtering, each starting with tag:.
     • keyword: A keyword for filtering notes.
     • sort: The sorting field (updatedAt, createdAt, or title). The default value is updatedAt.
     • descending: Whether to reverse the output order. The default value is true.
   • Notes: The results will include truncated note content (up to 200 characters). Use read-note to get the full content.

4. create-note: Create a new note in the database.

   • Required parameters:
     • bookId: The ID of the notebook. It must start with book: or be specified as trash.
     • title: The title of the note.
     • body: The content of the note (in Markdown format).
   • Optional parameters:
     • tags: An array of tags associated with the note.

5. update-note: Update the content of an existing note.

   • Required parameters:
     • noteId: The ID of the note to update.
     • title: The new title (can be left blank).
     • body: The new content (in Markdown format).
     • tags: The updated array of tags.

6. delete-note: Delete the specified note.

   • Required parameters:
     • noteId: The ID of the note to delete.

🔧 Debugging Guide

1. Use the MCP Inspector tool to monitor and debug the MCP server.
2. Run the following command to start the MCP service:

npx @inkdropapp/mcp-server

3. Monitor the log output to ensure the service is running properly:

tail -f package.json
