Paddle Billing is a merchant of record for developers. We handle payments, taxes, subscriptions, and metrics all through a unified API.

This is a server based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), providing tools to interact with the Paddle API.

⚠️ Important Note

This MCP server is for Paddle Billing. It does not support Paddle Classic. For using with Paddle Classic, refer to: Paddle Classic API Documentation

📦 Installation

To use the MCP server, you need an API key. You can create and manage API keys in Paddle > Developer Tools > Authentication:

• Sandbox environment: https://sandbox-vendors.paddle.com/authentication-v2
• Production environment: https://vendors.paddle.com/authentication-v2

You can run the Paddle MCP server using npx with the following command:

npx -y @paddle/paddle-mcp --api-key=PADDLE_API_KEY --environment=(sandbox|production)

Replace PADDLE_API_KEY with your own API key and pass the correct environment value (sandbox or production).

To run the server in clients like Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Windsurf, add the following to your MCP configuration:

🔧 Development

1. Install dependencies:

pnpm install

2. Build the server:

pnpm build

3. Update the client to use the local build:

🐞 Debugging

To debug the MCP server, you can use the MCP Inspector tool:

1. Run the server with the inspector:

pnpm inspector

2. Open the provided URL in your browser to view and debug MCP requests and responses.
3. Include the --api-key and --environment parameters.
