1. Task Planning
   • Support for multi-step task planning. Each task can include information such as title, detailed description, status (not started, in progress, completed), and approval status.
2. Progress Tracking
   • Provide detailed progress indicators, including the number of completed tasks and the total number of tasks.
3. User Approval
   • Users can directly approve tasks through the command-line tool, ensuring that each task is manually reviewed before completion.
4. Data Storage
   • Data is saved as a JSON file. The default path varies depending on the operating system:
     • Linux: ~/.local/share/taskqueue-mcp/tasks.json
     • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/taskqueue-mcp/tasks.json
     • Windows: %APPDATA%\taskqueue-mcp\tasks.json
5. Extension Support
   • Support for custom rules and tool recommendations to make task execution more efficient.

📦 Installation

Use the Node.js package manager for global installation:

npm install -g taskqueue-mcp

Basic Usage

Run the command-line tool via npx and view the help information:

Advanced Usage

Approve a Task

Use the following command to approve a task in a specific project:

npx taskqueue approve-task -- <projectId> <taskId>

• Option: --force can force the approval of an incomplete task.

List Tasks and Projects

View detailed information about all projects or a specified project:

npx taskqueue list-tasks [--project=<projectId>]

Initialize a New Project

Create and initialize a new project:

npx taskqueue create-project -- <projectId> <initialPrompt>

Environment Variable Configuration

If you need to customize the storage path of the data file, you can do so by setting the TASK_MANAGER_FILE_PATH environment variable:

export TASK_MANAGER_FILE_PATH="/path/to/tasks.json"

Then add the same environment variable to the MCP client configuration.
