A server implementing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that provides functions for interacting with Elasticsearch and OpenSearch. This server supports searching documents, analyzing indexes, and managing clusters through a series of tools.

Configure Environment Variables

Start the Elasticsearch/OpenSearch Cluster

Start with Docker

# Start Elasticsearch
docker run -d --name elasticsearch -p 9200:9200 -p 9300:9300 docker.elastic.co/elasticsearch/elasticsearch:7.17.2

# Start OpenSearch
docker run -d --name opensearch -p 9200:9200 -p 9300:9300 amazon/opensearch:1.5.0

Installation Method

Method 1: Install via the uv command

# Elasticsearch version
uv run mcp_client/client.py src/server.py --elasticsearch

# OpenSearch version
uv run mcp_client/client.py src/server.py --opensearch

✨ Features

Index Operations

• list_indices: List all indexes in the cluster.
• create_index: Create a new index.
• delete_index: Delete the specified index.
• update_mapping: Update the mapping relationship of the index.

Document Operations

• search_docs: Search for documents in the specified index.
• get_doc: Get the document with the specified index and ID.
• index_doc: Add or update a document to the specified index.
• delete_doc: Delete the document with the specified index and ID.

Cluster Operations

• cluster_health: Check the health status of the cluster.
• cluster_stats: Get the statistical information of the cluster.
• nodes_info: List all nodes in the cluster and their information.
• nodes_stats: Get the detailed statistical information of each node.

Alias Operations

• list_aliases: List all aliases of the specified index.
• create_alias: Create a new alias.
• delete_alias: Delete the specified alias.
• update_alias: Update the configuration of an existing alias.
