This is a server that implements Azure's MCP (Multi-Cloud Provider) protocol, supporting the following services:

📦 Installation

Using Smithay

If you are already using Smithay for development, follow these steps:

smithay new Azure-MCP-Server --type=mcp
cd Azure-MCP-Server
# Add the following content to src/main.rs, replacing YOUR_SUBSCRIPTION_ID and YOUR_RESOURCE_GROUP with your actual values

Manual Installation

If you are not using Smithay, follow these steps for manual installation:

1. Install Rust and related dependencies.
2. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/your-repository/Azure-MCP-Server.git
cd Azure-MCP-Server
cargo build

Configuration Guide

Create Database and Container

Create the following resources in the Azure portal:

• Database: Name it SampleDB.
• Container: Name it sample-container and specify a partition key (e.g., /partitionKey).

Insert Sample Data

Use the following Python script to insert some sample data:

• Create a blob: Upload a file to the storage account.

• Create a container:

• Describe a container:

Document Management

• Create a document:

• Read a document:

App Configuration Operations

• Get a configuration value:

/path/to/mcp-cli get_app_configuration --key my-config-key

• Set a configuration value:

/path/to/mcp-cli set_app_configuration --key my-config-key --value my-config-value

⚠️ Important Note

1. When using Cosmos DB, ensure that you specify the correct partition key; otherwise, it may lead to performance issues.
2. Cosmos DB is case-sensitive. Pay attention to the case of field names.
3. The default database is SampleDB. If you need to use another database, explicitly specify --database_name in the command.
