🚀 Claude Outlook MCP Tool for macOS

This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool that allows Claude to interact with Microsoft Outlook for macOS.

📦 Prerequisites

• macOS with Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or Intel chips
• Installed and configured Microsoft Outlook for Mac
• Installed Bun
• Installed Claude Desktop Application

📦 Installation

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/syedazharmbnr1/claude-outlook-mcp.git
cd claude-outlook-mcp

2. Install dependencies:

bun install

3. Ensure the script is executable:

chmod +x index.ts

4. Update your claude_desktop_config.json configuration file to point to the new location.

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

1. Copy the package.json and index.ts files to a new directory.
2. Run in the new directory:

bun install
bun run index.ts

Sending an Email

🔧 Troubleshooting

Module Not Found Error

If you encounter the following error: Cannot find module '@modelcontextprotocol/sdk/server/index.js'

1. Ensure you have run bun install to install all dependencies.
2. Try to explicitly install the MCP SDK:

   bun add @modelcontextprotocol/sdk@^1.5.0
   

3. Check if the module exists:

   ls -la node_modules/@modelcontextprotocol/sdk/server/
   

If the problem persists, create a new project:

mkdir -p ~/yourpath/claude-outlook-mcp
cd ~/yourpath/claude-outlook-mcp
bun init -y

Then copy the files and run:

bun install
bun run index.ts

Finally, update your claude_desktop_config.json configuration file to point to the new location.
