🚀 Model Context Protocol and Fireproof Test Demo: JSON Document Server

This is a simple example of using the Fireproof database in a Model Context Protocol server, which is used to integrate code and data into A.I. systems, such as Claude Desktop.

This demo server implements a basic JSON document storage, supporting CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete), and can query and sort documents based on any field.

📦 Installation

Install the dependencies:

npm install
npm build

💻 Running the Server

To use it with Claude Desktop, add the following server configuration:

• On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

🔧 Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via standard input and output, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using the Model Context Protocol Inspector, which can be run via an npm script:

npm run inspector

The inspector will provide a URL to access the debugging tools. Simply open it directly in your browser.
