A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides tools for interacting with a Jenkins CI/CD server. This server enables AI assistants to check build statuses, trigger builds, and retrieve build logs through a standardized interface.

📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/jenkins-server-mcp.git
cd jenkins-server-mcp

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Build the project:

npm run build

⚙️ Configuration

The server requires the following environment variables:

• JENKINS_URL: The URL of the Jenkins server (default is 'http://sohoci.rd.tp-link.net/jenkins')
• JENKINS_USER: The username for Jenkins login
• JENKINS_TOKEN: The API access token for Jenkins

Configure these variables in the MCP settings file:

For Claude Desktop

• MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Use automatic rebuild for development:

npm run watch

🐞 Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via stdio, you can use the MCP Inspector for debugging:

npm run inspector

This will provide a URL to access the debugging tools. Open it in your browser.
