🚀 Google News MCP Server Plugin

This is an MCP protocol server plugin developed using TypeScript and Node.js, designed to provide Google News search functionality for Claude Desktop. The plugin supports news content queries in multiple languages and from multiple countries, and allows filtering by topic, publication, story, and section.

🚀 Quick Start

Step 1: Install Dependencies

npm install

Step 2: Configure the Environment

Modify your claude_desktop_config.json file and add the following content (adjust according to the actual path):

Step 3: Build the Server

npm run build

Parameter Configuration

The plugin implements the MCP protocol and exposes a Google News search tool, supporting the following parameters:

• q: Search query string
• gl: Country code (e.g., 'us', 'uk')
• hl: Language code (e.g., 'en', 'es')
• topic_token: Specific news topic token
• publication_token: Specific publisher token
• story_token: Token for comprehensive story coverage
• section_token: Specific section token
