🚀 Cryptocurrency Price and Market Analysis MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that uses the CoinCap API to provide comprehensive cryptocurrency analysis. This server offers real-time price data, market analysis, and historical trends, accessible through an easy-to-use interface.

Add the following configuration to your Claude Desktop configuration file:

💡 Optional: CoinCap API Key

To increase rate limits, you can add an API key to the configuration:

⚠️ Important Note

CoinCap is phasing out its v2 API. This MCP supports both v2 and v3 APIs:

• If COINCAP_API_KEY is provided, it will first attempt to use the v3 API and fall back to v2 if it fails.
• When no API key is provided, the v2 API (which will be deprecated in the future) is used by default.
• It is recommended to obtain an API key from pro.coincap.io/dashboard as the v2 API will be completely shut down in the future.

Provide detailed market analysis, including:

• Trading volume rankings of the top five exchanges
• Analysis of price differences between exchanges
• Analysis of trading volume distribution
• VWAP (Volume-Weighted Average Price)

get-historical-analysis

Analyze historical price data, supporting:

• Customizable time intervals (from 5 minutes to 1 day)
• Up to 30 days of historical data
• Price trend analysis
• Volatility indicators
• High/low price ranges
