🚀 Financial Data - MCP Server

This is an MCP server that provides access to the Alpha Vantage API, allowing the use of LLM with stock data retrieval as context.

✨ Features

• getStockQuote: Get the current quote of a stock.
• getHistoricalData: Get historical data (daily, weekly, or monthly) of a stock.
• (More tools are coming soon, such as technical analysis, company overview, etc.)

📦 Installation

Install via Smithery

To automatically install the Financial Data Server for Claude Desktop, use Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install findata-mcp-server --client claude

Manual Installation

npm install findata-mcp-server

💻 Usage on Host

1. Obtain an API key from Alpha Vantage at https://www.alphavantage.co/support/#api-key.

2. Configure your MCP client (e.g., Claude Desktop) to connect to the server:

🛠️ Tools

getStockQuote

Get the current quote of a stock.

Input: symbol: Stock symbol (e.g., AAPL)

Output Example:

getHistoricalData

Get historical data of a stock.

Input:

• symbol: Stock symbol (e.g., AAPL)
• interval: Time interval of the data (daily, weekly, or monthly) (optional, default is daily)
• outputsize: Output size (compact or full) (optional, default is compact)

Output: A JSON object containing historical data. The output structure depends on the interval parameter.
