This TypeScript-based MCP server showcases core MCP concepts in the following ways:

• Represents text note resources using note:// URIs and metadata.
• Provides the functionality to create new notes.
• Supports generating prompts for summaries of all stored notes.

Initial Configuration

• Environment variables NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL and NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY need to be set.

Resource Management

• Lists and accesses note resources identified by note:// URIs.
• Each note contains title, content, and metadata information.
• Offers simple content access using the plain text MIME type.

Tool Functions

• create_note: Creates a new text note.
  • Accepts title and content as required parameters.
  • Stores the new note in the server state.

Prompt Generation

• summarize_notes: Generates summaries of all stored notes.
  • Includes all note content as embedded resources.
  • Returns a structured prompt suitable for processing by large language models (LLMs).

🚀 Quick Start

Development Process

Install dependencies:

npm install

Build the server:

npm run build

Automatically rebuild in development mode:

npm run watch

📦 Installation

Configuration for Claude Desktop

To use in Claude Desktop, add the following server configuration:

• MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Installation via Smithery

Automatically install through Smithery:

Debugging Tools

Since MCP servers communicate via standard input and output, debugging can be complex. We recommend using MCP Inspector for debugging:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access browser debugging tools.
