📦 Prerequisites

1. Node.js (version 16 or higher)
2. Shopify custom app access token (see Setup below)

🚀 Quick Start

Create a Custom App and Obtain an Access Token

To use this MCP server, you need to create a custom app in your Shopify admin panel and obtain an access token.

Here are the steps:

1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
2. Navigate to Apps > Custom apps.
3. Click Create an app.
4. Fill in the app information, including the name and callback URL (e.g., http://localhost:8080).
5. After saving the app, go to the app details page to get the access token.

Use this access token as the credentials required when configuring the MCP server.

Configure with Claude Desktop

Replace <Your API Key> and <Your API Secret Key> with your actual Shopify app credentials.

Use Environment Variables

You can also configure the MCP server by setting the following environment variables:

• SHOPFY_API_KEY: API access token
• SHOPFY_API_SECRET_KEY: API secret key
• MCP_HOST: Defaults to localhost
• MCP_PORT: Defaults to 8080

Direct Installation

If needed, you can directly install this server:

npm install -g shopify-mcp-server

Then run it:

shopify-mcp-server --apiKey=<Your API Key> --apiSecretKey=<Your API Secret Key>
