Installation in VS Code

Alternatively, you can install the Playwright MCP server via the VS Code CLI:

CLI Options

The calculator MCP server supports the following command-line options:

• --port <port>: The port used to listen for the SSE transport protocol

Running a Browser with a GUI on a Linux System (Without DISPLAY Environment)

When running without a display environment or from the IDE's worker process, run the MCP server from an environment with the DISPLAY environment variable and enable SSE transport using the --port flag:

npx @wrtnlabs/calculator-mcp@latest --port 8931

Then set the URL to the SSE endpoint in the MCP client configuration:
