🚀 Google Workspace MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides Gmail and Calendar API tools, allowing for the programmatic management of emails and calendar events through the MCP interface.

This server offers a convenient way to manage Gmail emails and Google Calendar events programmatically. You can perform various operations such as listing, searching, sending emails, and creating, updating, or deleting calendar events.

Email Tools

• list_emails: List recent emails in the inbox with optional filtering.
• search_emails: Advanced email search using Gmail query syntax.
• send_email: Send a new email, supporting CC and BCC.
• modify_email: Modify email labels (archive, delete, mark as read/unread).

Calendar Tools

• list_events: List upcoming calendar events with optional date range filtering.
• create_event: Create a new calendar event, supporting the addition of participants.
• update_event: Update an existing calendar event.
• delete_event: Delete a calendar event.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

1. Node.js: Install Node.js version 14 or higher.
2. Google Cloud Console Setup:
   • Go to Google Cloud Console.
   • Create a new project or select an existing one.
   • Enable the Gmail API and Google Calendar API:
     1. Navigate to "APIs & Services" > "Library".
     2. Search for and enable the "Gmail API".
     3. Search for and enable the "Google Calendar API".
   • Set up OAuth 2.0 credentials:
     1. Go to "APIs & Services" > "Credentials".
     2. Click "Create Credentials" > "OAuth client ID".
     3. Select "Web application".
     4. Set the "Authorized redirect URIs" to include: http://localhost:4100/code.
     5. Note down the Client ID and Client Secret.

Automatic Installation via Smithery

Automatically install through Smithery:

$ npm install -g @rishipradeep-think41/gsuite-mcp

Manual Installation

Manually download and install the latest version of the MCP server:

1. Download latest.mcp.
2. Extract the file to the target directory.
3. Run start_server.sh or start_server.bat to start the server.

Troubleshooting

1. Authentication Issues:

   • Ensure that all required OAuth scopes have been granted.
   • Verify that the client ID and secret are correct.
   • Check if the refresh token is valid.

   • Ensure that the API is enabled for your project.
   • Verify that the request parameters are in the required format.
