📦 Installation

Prerequisites

1. Node.js version requirement: Node.js 14.x or higher. It is recommended to use the LTS version.
2. npm must be installed.

Authentication with Keys

1. Generate an OAuth message key in Bitbucket:
   • Log in to the Bitbucket management console.
   • Navigate to OAuth tools > Generate consumer.
   • Fill in the Consumer Key (e.g., mcp-server).
   • Generate and download the key pair.
2. Configure the MCP server:

   BITBUCKET_OAUTH_KEY=your_consumer_key \
   BITBUCKET_OAUTH_SECRET=your_secret_key \
   npm install -g @aashari/mcp-server-atlassian-bitbucket
   

3. Authentication with a password (optional):

   npm install -g @aashari/mcp-server-atlassian-bitbucket
   

Configuration Methods

File-based Configuration

Create a config.json file with the following content:

Environment Variable Configuration

Set the following environment variables:

• BITBUCKET_BASE_URL: The Bitbucket API address, defaulting to https://api.bitbucket.org.
• BITBUCKET_WORKSPACE: The target workspace.
• BITBUCKET_AUTH_TYPE: The authentication type, supporting oauth2 and password.
  • For oauth2:
    • BITBUCKET_OAUTH_KEY: The consumer key.
    • BITBUCKET_OAUTH_SECRET: The secret key.
  • For password:
    • BITBUCKET_USERNAME: The Bitbucket username.
    • BITBUCKET_PASSWORD: The Bitbucket password.

Installation and Execution

npm install -g @aashari/mcp-server-atlassian-bitbucket
mcp-atlassian-bitbucket --help
