Installation

You can install the File Context Server in two ways:

Using Smithery

Manual Installation

npm install @modelcontextprotocol/mcp-file-context

Starting the Server

Once installed, you can start the server using the following command:

node index.js

⚠️ Important Note

Regarding cross-platform path compatibility, use path.posix.join to handle glob patterns and path.normalize to access the file system. This change avoids path separator and file matching issues on different operating systems.
